Ringling Museum Participates in “Smithsonian Museum Day”

WHAT:        
The Ringling Museum will offer free admission to the 21-gallery Museum of Art only on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 as part of the nationwide “Smithsonian Museum Day” promotion when visitors present an Admission Card. 

A promotion by Smithsonian Magazine, “Smithsonian Museum Day” is a nationwide event where participating museums and cultural institutions offer free admission for one day only.  The promotion reflects the spirit of the magazine and celebrates culture, learning, and knowledge.

Visitors will present a “Smithsonian Museum Day” Admission Card and receive free admission into the 21-gallery Museum of Art only. The Admission Card entitles the card holder and one guest free admission to the 21-gallery Museum of Art. Only one Admission Card per household can be redeemed.

General Admission includes the Ringling Museum of Art, special exhibitions, Ca' d’Zan Mansion, Circus Museum, and Mable’s historic Rose Garden, all on 66 acres of lushly landscaped grounds. Adults are $25; senior citizens (65 and over) are $20; children ages 6-17 are $5.  Free Admission for children 5 and under accompanied by an adult, museum members.  Advance tickets are available by calling 941.358.3180.
