During the evening’s presentation, Nathan Currier will share parts of a cello sonata he will be writing during his Hermitage residency. This accomplished musician is a former teacher at Julliard, a composer who won the Rome Prize and a pianist who won the Silver medal in the International Piano Recording Competition, among other honors. Multi-talented and knowledgeable on a variety of subjects, Currier is also a sought-after speaker on climate change and a scholar of Gaia principles of ecology. He will also briefly discuss the Gaia theory and play some sections of his oratorio, Gaian Variations.
