Art Library Resources

The Ringling Art Library is one of the largest art research libraries in the southeastern United States. Located in the Education Center, it houses thousands of volumes from the 16th-21st centuries, spanning topics like fine and decorative art, art history, architecture, fashion, and theater.

While this research collection does not circulate to the public, the collection is open for public use. The spacious reading room is well-lit and there are many comfortable reading areas throughout the library. We offer access to public computers with access to scholarly databases, free Wi-Fi, charging outlets and limited photocopying and scanning. Please note: We do not appraise or authenticate art.

The Art Library offers free programs thoughout the year. Programs include engaging scholarly lectures, book club discussions, and an arts-based storytime for young children. View the online calendar for upcoming programs.
