Collections

Collections at The Ringling

Rare antiquities and the creations of old and modern masters working in a variety of mediums fill the Museum of Art. At the Circus Museum one discovers memorabilia from the phenomenon that has entertained the nation for more than 200 years. Theater artifacts and botanical wonders are also on display throughout the Ringling's 66 stunning acres. In short, the range of the Museums collections is nothing short of astonishing. The collection is ever changing and not all pieces are available for viewing at all times.

Archives

Preserving the archival collection records of historical value, encouraging scholarly research and serving as an educational resource about the Museum of Art, the Ringlings and the American circus is the mission of The Ringling Archives. The staff and volunteers provide reference services and host group presentations about the holdings and the use of primary sources.

Conservation

The conservation of its treasures for future generations is one of a Museum’s most important and essential tasks. At The Ringling, this responsibility is central to our mission, extending not only to the art and artifacts of Museum of Art, but to Ca' d’Zan, the Circus Museum and the Historic Asolo Theater as well.
