The Rose Garden and the Secret Garden at The Ringling provide great opportunities for the staff to work with different varieties of plants as well as the latest methods of ecological pest control. Explore these gardens with us and learn about the plants that encourage the pollinators (bees, birds, butterflies, bats) and get the inside track on protecting these valuable assets. You'll take away some new ideas to try in your own garden.
This series of workshops is designed to give the homeowner the knowledge and the know-how to create Florida-friendly landscapes. These landscapes have lower water requirements, and lower frustration for the gardener. By selecting the right plants and putting them in the right place, you can raise the bar for success.
The program will include a talk and discussion in the Education Center followed by a walking tour tailored to the topic. Please wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes.
