Sarasota, FL – Feb. 15, 2008 –Children going into the second and third grades will have the opportunity to journey across continents and through time in The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art’s first-ever weeklong summer Culture Camps in July 2008.
Integrating visual arts, performing arts, language, food, games and stories, camps will serve as a gateway for children to explore the cultures represented in the Ringling Collection.
“The demand for an extensive art-based learning experience for children at the Museum during the summer has been enormous,” said Dr. John Wetenhall Executive Director of the Ringling Museum. “These camps will open worlds of foreign culture for children in a fun and engaging manner.”
