Accessibility

The Ringling welcomes all visitors and their service animals, and is committed to offering accessible facilities and full and rich experiences. All visitors should be aware and cautious of the many steps and uneven floors and terrain throughout the Museum of Art, Cà d'Zan, Circus Museum, and Bayfront Gardens.

If you are unable to visit the Museum without assistance, the Museum does offer admission at no charge for your accessibility attendant. Please inquire at the admissions counter upon entering or call 941-358-3180 for more information.

Handicapped parking
Handicapped spaces are located at the northern end of the parking area, near the Main Entrance at the Visitors Pavilion.  There are several spaces located at the southern end of the lot for evening events that have direct Museum of Art access.

Tram Service
Complimentary tram service is available to transport visitors from venue to venue.  The trams may not provide transportation to the parking lot. Wheelchairs and strollers can only be accommodated on our especially designed ADA tram.  This tram is equipped with a ramp and an enclosed space so visitors may load their wheelchair or stroller on to it safely.  Please be patient as not all of the trams are so equipped.  Walkers, however, may be accommodated on all trams and are considered a passenger. 

Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis at the Visitors Pavilion, Museum of Art, Cà d’Zan, Tibbals Learning Center and Circus Museum. At the Cà d’Zan smaller wheel chairs called transfer chairs are provided due to the historic nature of the building. Please note that for safety reasons wheelchairs can only be accommodated on our especially designed ADA tram. This tram is equipped with a ramp and an enclosed space so visitors may load their wheelchair on to it safely. Please be patient as not all of the trams are so equipped. Walkers, however, may be accommodated on all trams and are considered a passenger.

Strollers
Strollers can be brought into all Museum buildings.  Strollers are restricted to the ground floor of Cà d’Zan mansion. They available in each venue on a first come, first served basis.  For everyone’s safety, strollers cannot be brought on all trams. However, strollers may only be accommodated on our especially designed ADA tram. This tram is equipped with a ramp and an enclosed space so visitors may load their wheelchair or stroller on to it safely. (Of course wheelchairs have priority when loading) Please be patient as not all of the trams are so equipped. 

Restrooms
ADA accessible restrooms are available in or near all of the venues.
