Who is eligible for an academic internship?
Current enrolled undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
How long are the academic internships?
Usually academic internships are for a semester, but times may vary.
Will I be paid for this internship?
No, academic year internships are unpaid positions.
Are academic internships available in the summer?
Occasionally we are able to schedule an academic internship during the summer semester.
What types of work or projects do interns participate in?
Interns are selected and placed according to departmental needs. Projects and tasks vary tremendously depending on the department assignment. Past placements have included the following departments: Curatorial, Art Library, Marketing and Public Relations, Collections Management, Information Technology, Archives, Education and Theater.
Will I receive any college credit for my academic internship?
If you would like college credit and your college/university is willing to grant it, we will document your work hours and the type of work completed. The Ringling/FSU cannot issue credit directly.
