The Ringling Art Library is one of the largest art research libraries in the southeastern United States. Located in the Education Center, it houses thousands of volumes from the 16th-21st centuries, spanning topics like fine and decorative art, art history, architecture, fashion, and theater.
While this research collection does not circulate to the public, the collection is open for public use. The spacious reading room is well-lit and there are many comfortable reading areas throughout the library. We offer access to public computers with access to scholarly databases, free Wi-Fi, charging outlets and limited photocopying and scanning. As part of Florida State University, you will be redirected to the FSU Libraries home page when you search our catalog.
Programs at the Art Library include engaging scholarly lectures, book club discussions, and an arts-based storytime for young children. Libraries have a long tradition of providing programs, tours, and special events for their community, in order to share the knowledge found within their four walls. The Ringling Art Library provides free programs that honor this tradition and serve to highlight the relationships across our diverse museum campus. Join us for an exciting learning experience!
