This exhibition uses the relationship between the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and John and Charles Ringling as a lens to explore Sarasota’s development. The Ringling’s Community Gallery is a free public exhibition space located on the ground floor of the museum’s Center for Asian Art.

Saitō Kiyoshi’s (1907–1997) keen sense of design, superb technique, and engagement with an appealing variety of themes made him one of the best-known and most-popular Japanese print artists of the twentieth century.

The Ringling is pleased to announce a new exhibition of the work of Sam Gilliam. The exhibition is being drawn primarily from local collections and features work from the early 1970s to 2010.

Skyway 20/21 is a celebration of artistic practices in the Tampa Bay region, as it is a collaboration between four institutions: the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg; The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota; the Tampa Museum of Art; and the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum, Tampa.

Tampa-based Ya Levy La’ford’s art practice explores journeys, pathways, space, and the metaphysical complexities therein. La’ford’s work seeks to communicate humanity’s unseen experiences within the intricacies of geometric laden layers united through interconnecting lines.
