This exhibition uses the relationship between the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and John and Charles Ringling as a lens to explore Sarasota’s development. The Ringling’s Community Gallery is a free public exhibition space located on the ground floor of the museum’s Center for Asian Art.

Located in the Pavilion Gallery, Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Center for Asian Art, this double-bill exhibition features modern and contemporary works on paper, glass, and ceramic sculpture from The Ringling and private collections.

Skyway 20/21 is a celebration of artistic practices in the Tampa Bay region, as it is a collaboration between four institutions: the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg; The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota; the Tampa Museum of Art; and the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum, Tampa.

Tampa-based Ya Levy La’ford’s art practice explores journeys, pathways, space, and the metaphysical complexities therein. La’ford’s work seeks to communicate humanity’s unseen experiences within the intricacies of geometric laden layers united through interconnecting lines.

Joseph’s Coat: Skyspace by James Turrell (2011) is a triumph of technology, engineering, and aesthetics. The Skyspace, created by internationally-renowned artist James Turrell, is a gathering place for contemplation and offers a unique experience.
