Two of the most charming features of the original Museum of Art are the stone parapet sculptures and the iron loggia lanterns. Visitors in the courtyard are watched over by muses, musicians, and other characters while the light from the loggia lanterns transforms the Museum into a place of magic and mystery every evening. Constant exposure to the elements had taken a toll on these iconic features. Learn how art and science come together to save them with Chief Conservator Barbara Ramsay.
Less formal that a lecture presentation, Conversations are designed to be programs where staff and guests can share research projects or topics of special interest. All Conversations take place in the Chao Lecture Hall - please remember to allow extra time to walk or take a tram to the Center for Asian Art.
