Making a Japanese Variant of Bonsai, Kokedama
Friday, May 10, @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Friends of the Ringling Legacy are invited to join Curator of the Rose Garden, Karen Smith, for a unique opportunity to build a kokedama. Kokedama is the art of binding plants into a green, mossy ball that dates back centuries to the Edo era in Japan (1603-1868). The hands-on workshop will also feature bamboo grown on the Ringling grounds, and will take place in the beautifully shaded Dwarf Garden. This indoor garden can be hung or placed on a decorative dish.
This event is by invitation only. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 941-360-7330.
