The Ringling offers Saturday for Educators throughout the school year. Educators may attend this program to learn about the Ringling's permanent collection and special exhibitions, network with other educators, and refresh their creative spirit.
Join The Ringling Art Library’s book club, the Literati. Discuss famous authors & art history! The program is FREE and registration is not required.
The Ringling invites members of our community to participate in conversations about Coco Fusco: Twilight at a series of informal “meet-ups.” We will meet at the Tin Man of the Twenty-First Century sculpture and then move inside the museum to discuss reactions, questions, and ideas generated from the exhibition.
This Artist Talk is a unique opportunity to hear from Cuban artists as they discuss poetry and the social role of artists in twenty-first century Cuban society. Coco Fusco will moderate a discussion with filmmaker Miguel Coyula, actress Lynn Cruz and poet Amaury Pacheco.
This two part workshop includes a classroom session where we learn about fertilizers and their use in the landscape, followed by an outdoor session where we learn how to properly apply fertilizers to our own landscapes.
Join us at the museum for fun for the whole family! Each month, we will set up interactive stations throughout the one of the museum’s venues. Families are free to move through these stations at their own pace to enjoy, play, and learn together as a family.
Join us for a film screening of Nadie, directed by Cuban filmmaker Miguel Coyula. Coyula will be there to introduce the film and take questions from the audience. Nadie (Nobody) tells the story of Rafael Alcides.
Join a Museum educator for a one-hour tour designed for parents or caregivers visiting the museum with an infant. This tour allows for adult discussion within a group that does not mind if a chatty or crying baby joins the conversation. Strollers or front baby carriers only, please.
ROAR! is a storytime program, designed to engage toddlers and preschoolers in activities that connect art with early literacy.
Join us on the third Thursday of each month for a special day designed just for homeschool families. Facilitated stations designed to engage different age levels will be set up throughout the Museum of Art. Families are free to move through these stations at their own pace to enjoy and learn together as a family.
