Let's Move! Shake and shimmy away 2020 with a virtual Zumba fitness dance class. The instructor will dance live from The Ringling's studio space while participants can follow along from the comfort of their own homes.
Work up a sweat performing a series of easy-to-follow dance steps. Zumba is a fun and effective fitness class that feels more like a night out dancing to international rhythms than a work out. Party yourself into shape with dance moves inspired by hip-hop, swing, Bollywood and Latin styles such as mambo, salsa, merengue and more.
This is a virtual class via ZOOM. Once you purchase a ticket you will be sent a link and passcode. Although you will be in your own home, please dress for a moderate- to high-intensity 60-minute workout.
About the Instructor
Helena “Lena” Porter is a licensed Zumba instructor and a health and fitness lifestyle coach. She is the founder of Fitness with Lena. Her mission is to inspire people to become active, stay active, get healthy, and have fun while achieving their weight loss and fitness goals. Fitness and dance have been a part of Lena’s life for years, but after the birth of her second child, she found herself 50 pounds overweight and suffering from gestational diabetes. Lena admits to being despondent about her weight and depressed by her body’s appearance. Lena set out to change her life and regain control of her health. Her journey led her to discover Zumba. Today, Lena is 40 pounds lighter! She has replaced despondency and depression with a zest and zeal for life and for helping people find their way to health and fitness. Lena credits Zumba with allowing her to combine her passions: dancing and helping people.
