Using paintings from the Museum’s collection, this talk presented by Ringling staff will explore one of the most popular subjects in the history of art, the narrative of the birth of Christ.
Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre returns with the presentation of a new work inspired by The Ringling’s James Turrell Skyspace. Four dancers create an ever-evolving architectural kaleidoscope; shifting, expanding and contracting in a rectangular formation made of human bodies rapid movement and subsequent stillness.
The challenges and opportunities of creating the site-specific work "Joseph’s Coat" is discussed by Dušan Týnek, Artistic Director of Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre. This is a free program.
