This exhibition is not only a celebration of artistic practice in the Tampa Bay area, but also an exercise in collaboration as it is shared between three institutions: The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota; the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg; and the Tampa Museum of Art. Working together, curators from these institutions will provide context for the diversity of art being made in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties. Works in the exhibition will be selected from an open call by museum curators and a visiting juror.
Special thanks to the Gobioff Foundation for supporting this exhibition across all three venues and to The Stanton Storer Embrace the Arts Foundation for its support of the exhibition publication.
Additional support was generously provided by the City of St. Petersburg, Office of Cultural Affairs, Douglas B. Thweatt and the Paul Grootkerk Memorial Endowment, Friends of the Museum, Tampa Museum of Art, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Margaret Acheson Stuart Society, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, State of Florida, and Division of Cultural Affairs.
