Where Everyone Belongs: Families Learning Together
The Ringling's "Where Everyone Belongs" (WEB) initiative provides museum memberships at no cost to families in our community to empower them to create meaningful learning experiences together.
As the State Art Museum of Florida, The Ringling is committed to being a welcoming, accessible cultural resource for the entire local community. Realizing that barriers like cost or unfamiliarity may prevent members of our community from visiting, The Ringling developed WEB: Where Everyone Belongs. This program provides families of all backgrounds the ability to experience all the museum has to offer.
Generous funding from both the Charles and Margery Barancik Foundation and the Community Foundation of Sarasota County have made this program possible. Through this initiative, children from families with limited financial resources or other obstacles will have the opportunity to explore a rich educational environment, and parents and caregivers will be introduced to strategies for encouraging learning and development during these visits.
What does the program involve?
Families engaged in the program will learn how to make the most of a museum visit with their children – including how to spark kids’ curiosity and how to find learning opportunities all around! An initial visit to the museum, facilitated by museum staff, will introduce The Ringling to participating families. Each family that participates will receive a free, one-year family membership to The Ringling, allowing them to return to the museum as often as they like!
The Ringling looks forward to further growing and developing the WEB initiative. For more information, please contact Ana Juarez, Barancik Community Engagement Fellow at email@example.com or (941) 359-5700 ext. 3703.
