While visiting The Ringling you are welcome to explore the Bayfront Gardens at your leisure. Mable’s Rose Garden, the Secret Garden, the Dwarf Garden, the Banyan trees and the Millennium Tree Trail are just some of the sites you’ll discover as you wander about the 66-acres of the astonishingly beautiful Ringling campus.
Guided Bayfront Gardens Tours are offered seasonally November through April.
Experience The Ringling from a different point of view. Tour the “living collections” of the Bayfront Gardens. This walking tour will introduce you to interesting botanical specimens on the estate while providing a historic overview of the development of the estate, beginning with Mable Ringling’s personal passion for gardening. The tour changes with the seasons and will feature different trees and plants over the course of the Winter and Spring.
Whether you are new to Florida or a long time resident who wants to explore your own backyard, this is a great way to get acquainted with The Ringling history and learn about the local flora and fauna.
The tour is 90 minutes in length and covers approximately 1 mile. We encourage visitors to wear appropriate footwear, preferably closed-toe, clothing, sunblock, and hats. Water will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own. Tours are subject to weather conditions. Tickets for Bayfront Gardens Tours must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance.
