In her personal research, Benita Stambler, Asian Art Coordinator, has been taking advantage of the unique combination of collections here at The Ringling. Her interest in nineteenth century photographs taken in Asia in The Ringling’s collections has led her to the study of American circus posters, and provided opportunities to work with scholars throughout Asia.
